On November 13, 2024, the “Challenges for dual training programs in a digital world” conference was held at the Faculty of Teacher Training in Lugo, an event that brought together experts in dual training to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by the integration of technology in this educational model.
The conference was attended by researchers and teachers from various institutions, including the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) and the University of Vigo (UVIGO). During the meeting, key topics were addressed such as the impact of dual training on job placement, the role of tutors and collaborating companies, as well as the use of digital tools in tutoring within this context.
The program included two round tables coordinated by specialists in the educational field, in which the essential elements of dual training and the new demands of a digitalized world were discussed. In addition, the working groups analysed good practices and formulated conclusions that will serve as a reference for the future design of dual training programmes at the university.
This event was organised within the framework of the research project PID2022-141325NB-I00, consolidating the collaboration between universities and educational centres to promote dual training adapted to the challenges of the digital age.
