Dual-Dig

Justification

The project DUAL DIG addresses a series of key challenges and opportunities in the field of dual training and tutoring in digital environments, highlighting its relevance and necessity in the current context of digital transformation and globalization

The Dual Training programs are a relatively recent practice in Spain, in contrast to countries like Germany or France, where they have a more consolidated trajectory. This difference highlights the need to better explore and understand the implementation of these programs in our country, especially regarding their effectiveness in skills acquisition and student employability.

In this line, tutoring presents itself as a crucial element in dual programs, serving as the backbone of the teaching and learning process. However, there are significant challenges related to the training and qualification of tutors, especially in the use of technologies for tutoring.

On the other hand, technological advances present both opportunities and challenges in the educational context. The application of emerging technologies such as AI or ChatBots offers new possibilities for improving tutoring and monitoring of students in dual programs, but also poses risks such as academic plagiarism and sensitive data security. Therefore, it is essential to investigate tutoring contexts in dual programs to maximize the benefits of technologies and mitigate their potential risks.

The novelty of the project lies in the scarcity of studies in our country that have addressed this type of work in real contexts. This represents an opportunity to contribute to existing knowledge and develop new perspectives and approaches in the field of dual training and tutoring in digital environments. In this way, the project seeks to expand and complete research in the field of dual training, with the aim of developing training services and products that integrate technologies for monitoring students’ training programs, as well as technological systems to facilitate communication between the different agents involved in dual practices.
