Biography

Silvia Sierra Martínez

Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics, School Organization, and Research Methods at the University of Vigo. Her doctoral thesis and scientific production address issues related to socio-educational inclusion, with her primary research lines focusing on participatory research methodologies, student voice, educational transitions, and social issues that may lead to social exclusion. She has participated in 1 European project, 4 projects funded by the National R&D&I Plan, 3 regional projects, and 1 local project. She is a member of the CÍES-Uvigo Research Group and the INDEIN Group. She has published articles in indexed scientific journals (recently Sierra-Martínez, Martínez-Figueira, Castro-Pais, 2024; Fiuza-Asorey, Sierra-Martínez, Castro-Pais, and Parrilla-Latas, 2024; Fiuza-Asorey, Losada-Puede, Sierra-Martínez, and Baña, 2023; etc.) and book chapters with publishers indexed in the SPI Ranking. She began her teaching and research training with a grant from the Subprogram for Research Personnel Training (FPI Grant, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) at the University of Vigo.
