Biography

Manuela Raposo Rivas (IP)

Associate Professor in the Department of Didactics and School Organization at the University of Vigo. Her research focuses on internships, practicum, or pre-professional practice, and the didactic use of technological and digital resources (both at the university level and in non-university education or in addressing diversity). 

She has authored over 250 publications on these topics, including 10 articles indexed in the JCR and 25 in Scopus, with 12 of them ranked in the Q1-Q2 quartiles. She has participated in 31 research projects funded through competitive international, national, regional, and provincial calls, serving as the principal investigator in 5 of them. She has actively collaborated in competitive research networks at the regional level (TeL-Galicia and RINEF-CISOC) and national level (CIES network and e-portfolio network). She has been an evaluator for the FORCYT program and for institutions such as MICIN, the Andalusian Knowledge Agency, ACSUG, and the Madridmasd Foundation for Knowledge. She is a reviewer for JCR and Scopus journals and a founding member of the REPPE network. She is also a member of the Association for the Development of Practicum and Internships and co-editor of the journal Practicum, which she helped establish. 

Her teaching is primarily related to non-university teacher training in undergraduate and master’s degree programs. Beyond Spanish universities, she has conducted research and teaching stays in Ecuador, Portugal, and Mexico, where she collaborates in postgraduate teaching. She actively participates in the training of young researchers, having supervised 13 doctoral theses, 3 of which received extraordinary doctoral awards. She co-supervised 3 FPU contracts and 2 predoctoral contracts funded by the Xunta de Galicia. She is a teacher, researcher, and member of the Academic Committee of the Interuniversity Doctoral Program in Equity and Innovation in Education (UVigo, USC, UDC, UniOvi, and UniCan). She is the principal investigator of the CIES Research Group: Collaboration, Innovation, and Research for Socio-Educational Equity (UVigo) and a member of the GTEA Group – Globalization, Technology, Education, and Learning (UMA). She is the Director of the Department of Didactics, School Organization, and MIDE and coordinator of the Practicum in the Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
